Due to Pandemic, it was difficult to organize Training Programs for DHRDs. Therefore, Manuski initiated conducting online conferences and training programs of the DHRDs from Maharashtra as well as for DHRDs from Telangana, Karnataka, and Chhattisgarh. In May 2020 Manuski in collaboration with Dr. B R Ambedkar’s Caravan Media conducted an Online webinar by inviting experts and senior activists for the webinar which was followed by thousands of viewers. Manuski conducted a webinar on the issues of Marginalised communities and the effect of the pandemic on the Dalits and Adivasi. The topics covered were Caste & Corona by Vincent Raj and Dr.V.Ramesh Nathan, Constitutional Morality by Dr. Nitish Nawsagaray, Dr. B.R.Ambedkar and his Approach to Law by Adv. Priyadarshi Telang, Stop Killing Us by Bezwada Wilson, etc.

Further, in May 2020 Manuski organized a 3 days training program on Understanding Budget Rights, Policy & Advocacy in association with Dr. B R Ambedkar’s Caravan Media. Sessions were conducted by Adv. Priyadarshi Telang, Former Director of Manuski, Beena Pallical, DAA-NCDHR, New Delhi & Paul Divakar, ADRF, New Delhi. The facilitators guided DHRDs in detail about understanding Budget, Component Plans, Gender Budget and Advocacy.
Moreover, Manuski organised an Online Study Circle on Reading and discussion on “States and Minorities” by Dr. Ambedkar for the fellows and DHRDs.
During the Pandemic period to monitor the situation of marginalized communities, the National Dalit Movement for Justice (NDMJ) a joined hand with the National Campaign on Dalit Human Rights (NCDHR), New Delhi, to conduct an inclusion assessment of the extent of realization of COVID19 schemes by the vulnerable communities through the mobile app, ‘We Claim’. In June 2020 Manuski organized Regional Training and trained DHRDs from Maharashtra about the use of the We Claim App. With the help of trained DHRDs and volunteers, Manuski reached more than 1500 families and gathered information about access to various schemes by marginalized communities in Maharashtra.
Effective Use of Social Media for DHRDs

Further in Nov 2020 onwards, the situation was not favorable to conduct physical training programs. During the period Manuski found that Social Media plays a vital role in connecting and awaring people of this media but due to lack of technical skills, many DHRDs were unable to use this platform effectively. Therefore, to enhance the technical skills of DHRDs and make them techno-friendly, in Nov and Dec 2020 Manuski organized an Online Training Program on the Effective use of Social Media. DHRDs from 3 states attended the training program which included Maharashtra, Telangana and Karnataka. The training program was conducted by Mr. Abhijeet Jagtap, Manager, Human Resources Learning and Development. He guided DHRDs about the importance of Social Media and trained them to use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube. He also discussed the importance of content writing.
Introduction to Prevention of Atrocities Act (PoA), use of Right to Information (RTI)

In Mar 2021, Manuski Team conducted an online Conference with DHRDs from Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka, and with interns from Social Work College about Introduction to Prevention of Atrocities Act (PoA), use of Right to Information (RTI) to monitor the situation of Dalits and Adivasis. Both sessions were conducted by Sangharsh Apte. Further Mr.Bhanu Boudh, conducted an online session to create awareness among DHRDs about the formation of Manuski and the ideology on which Manuski works. Mr. Lakhindar Soren conducted a session on Introduction to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with interns associated with Manuski. Ms.Prachi Salve facilitated the sessions. The sessions helped DHRDs to understand the ideology and work areas of Manuski and also encouraged them to join Dalit Human Rights Network (DHRDNet) for effectively working on the rights of Marginalised communities.
