On 11th March, Dalit Human Rights Defenders Network abbreviated DHRDNet, HRLN that is Human Rights Law Network, NCWL that is National Council for Women Leaders organised a National Consultation Program on The Implementation of Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act 1989 and Rules 1995 Monitoring Status Report at Vishwa Yuvak Kendra in Delhi.
The key objective of this National Consultation was to assess the SC/ST PoA Act and to identify gaps that have become barriers in the journey for equality and justice for SC/ST communities. Many activists, lawyers, and social workers participated and discussed topics related to SC/ST and PoA Act, as challenges faced by SC/ST community. Bhanu Pratap, Manuski’s Director participated in the same.
