The Manuski Team campaigned against Covid-19 for Manual Scavenger women in 26 villages and factories in five districts of Haryana. In which 295 Mahadalit and Dalit women were provided free blood test facilities. Tested women told that they have got the opportunity to test for free today only through the blood test camp. Many of them (130 women) were the victims of anemia. The women were left with only 7 grams to 8 grams. They were not getting nutritious food due to lockdown and were dependent on waste food left/given by upper-caste Hindus.
When women were asked by Manuski’s team, “Why is your blood level so low? ” They responded “We have many problems with not getting food and a hungry body does not have enough nutrients and blood.
