A two days North Regional Consultation with the subject line “Freedom of Choice and Marriage” organized by Dalit Human Rights Defenders Network in collaboration with People’s Union for Civil Liberties Rajasthan on 12-13 January 2023 at Institute of Development Studies, Jhalana Institutional Area, Jaipur. The objectives of the consultation were to develop a national plan to prevent such crimes happened in the name of “honour”. More than 70 Representatives from various organisations and States such as Maharashtra, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Delhi, etc. participated in this two-day consultation. Many law students also participated in the same and asked their questions.
